The growth in energy needs, and more particularly the consequences of pollution resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels, encourage the development of bioenergy. This includes various forms of usable energy derived from materials called biomass. Biomass is a biological material that can be solid (wood and agricultural materials), liquid (oil) or gaseous (biogas and syngas).
